When does the Clinical Update Conference start and end?

The conference will begin on Friday, February 2nd at 11:00 a.m. ET and conclude on Sunday, February 4th at 11:45 a.m. ET. The conference will be held at the Omni Orlando Resort at ChampionsGate in Orlando, Florida.

Will there be a virtual option if I cannot attend in person?

Yes, the program will be livestreamed and available on demand for 45 days post-meeting. Sessions will be available on demand 24 hours after the session concludes.

Photography/Video

Photography, including camera-enabled cell phones, videotaping and audio recording in session rooms during the conference is forbidden.

What is the proper dress code for the conference?

We encourage participants to dress comfortably in business casual attire. The temperature in meeting rooms will vary so we suggest you bring a sweater or light jacket for your comfort. The weather in Orlando in February averages between 57°F and 74 °F (14°C and 23°C).

In what language is the conference presented?

The conference will be presented in English.

Will WiFi be available for attendees?

Complimentary WiFi will be available in the session room and throughout the hotel.

Are children allowed at the meeting?

Children under the age of 18 will not be permitted access to the session room. Exceptions can be made for nursing mothers, but for safety reasons, strollers cannot be allowed.

Will any food or refreshments be available?

Yes, there are some food and beverage options located in the hotel. 

When will registration for the 2024 Clinical Update Conference Open? 

Registration and Housing are now open.

Who is CMR?

Convention Management Resources, Inc. (CMR) manages the registration process for the Clinical Update Conference on behalf of the American Diabetes Association. 

How do I book my hotel?

Special discounted room rates have been negotiated with the Omni Orlando Resort at ChampionsGate and can be reserved now through January 4. After January 4, the Omni Orlando ChampionsGate Hotel will continue to process reservations and changes are subject to hotel availability. 

Do I have to be a Professional Member of the ADA to attend the conference?

No, you do not. However, you can become a Professional Member of the ADA when you register for the conference. Simply sign in under the Non-Member section with your email address and you will be presented with the membership options available to you. Please note, if you become a member after you have registered you will not be eligible for the member rates as you must be a member at the time of registration.

How do I renew my ADA membership number?

How do I renew my ADA membership?
You can renew your Professional Membership when you register for the meeting. Simply sign in under the Member Login section with your e-mail and if your membership expires prior to February 29, 2024 you will be presented with the options to renew.

How long is my ADA membership valid?
For one year.

What are the benefits of becoming a Professional Member of the ADA when registering for the Clinical Update Conference?
As a Professional Member of ADA you can save (depending on the membership category) when you register as a member for the meeting.
